Australian government Twitter accounts

This is a list of Twitter accounts maintained by Australian councils and government agencies.

The list is no longer actively maintained on a regular basis, and is likely to be inaccurate - either missing new government accounts or including shutdown accounts.

Note that while I cannot guarantee that all of these accounts are official government and council accounts due to a lack of consistent government methodology on providing this confirmation, the vast majority have been confirmed as official.

If you are aware of any additional government twitter accounts, or that any on the current list that are not official, please adjust them in the list directly.
